A beautiful bird that we in Michigan do not have a chance to see in the wild. A very fine shot with excellent detail in the plumage and a beautiful pose. Good luck in the contest.

You certainly blurred the background well. The scrub Jay that looks kinda scrawny stands out this way. The rock wall is clear. Feel kinda for that bird, which kinda looks sad.

Mr. Blue Jay could not have posed for you in a better way, and you have pictured his little shiny eye so well. The blue feathers look fantastic, and the light is falling on them in such a lovely way. The softened background looks perfect, and the bird is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The focus is spot on and pin sharp, and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is just perfect.
I also like the way you have cropped the photo and the placement of the bird within the frame. I think this is a truly beautiful and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

What a darling picture of this blue little bird. He's so precious looking. I really love the expression you caught on him. You can tell a lot but just looking at his face he's definitely looking for food lol. Wonderful photography my friend thank you so much for sharing
