This image certainly fits the subject of the contest! I love the pattern of the leaves with their veins and stem.
My only wish is that they didn't appear to be melting in the background of green as it is a little busy for my taste. Still a nice photo. Good luck in the contest.

Certainly is a vine with opposing leaves. Dark green with distinct veins. DOF isolates the leaves and they stand out. Very simply presented but very effective. Thanks for sharing, good luck in the contest. Ray

THOSE are Oak leaves?
They must belong to a different subspecies of Oak trees than the ones that grow around here.
Regardless.it's an excellent photograph and I'm enjoying it very much!
