Hi Mary, this is such a unique flower, I have actually found these here at one of the flower shops, it fascinated me, they are a bit of a challenge to photograph because of the way they are structured . I like the way you photographed this one , it allows a good sense of this flower and that hollow center with the white stamens inside.
This is well focused, the image is clear and you have handled the lighting well.
The colors snd tones appear natural , I like the deep purple petal tips.

Thanks Pat, we have a Protea farm about 1/2 hours drive and I keep meaning to visit as there are so many varieties. Will try and get their this flowering season. :)
