Oh how cute is this little fellow peeping through the fluff to check out the person with camera. Gorgeous background complementing the chickadee. Focus is sharp and the colors very natural. :) Mary

I adore your capture of a Misty morning chickadee!
Your dryer vent added a nice touch for this sweet portrait. Smile
The exposure and balance is perfect with the look if a black and white photo while its little peachy belly tells all.
Must've been a dreary wintery day?
Great job!

What an extraordinary photo. And kudos to you for using the vents. That trick worked great! Great detail, color, contrast, rule of thirds and all around good, solid sharpness.

Hi Pat, My goodness this little guy is really puffed up! It must have been a very cold day! I don't think I've ever seen a chickadee that's as puffed as this one is! I bet he's enjoying the warmth of your dryer! LOL I'm so glad you caught him this way. Focus and lighting are very nice, but I love the little feather ball! :o) Nancy

Pat, you sure have smart birds by you that know how to keep warm in the winter. This guy is all puffed up like a ball waiting to have a morsel or two and get a blast of warm air. what a cool looking bird. Ray

Love that the mist is from your dryer. That is so funny. He doesn't get drab in the winter? I like the black and white and the color just on the bird. Brings it out more.

Thank you so much! Sadly , this is not black and white , this is the Alaska sky in winter, if it?s not a sunny day , it?s like we live in black and white,

What a very sweet nature capture as this black capped chickadee is perched on a slim branch. It looks very artistic with the mist and ruffled feathers. I love the touch of colour with the grey misty background. A clear and focused image. Thanks for sharing Pat!

Gorgeous. Seriously you could win some artist photo contests that pay $1000s on a win. You should look some of these up and enter. Honestly your work is beautiful.
Great technical skills.

Pat,
A wonderfu stop action picture of the Chickadee all puffed up against the cold the steam rising from your dryer vents gives it a beautiful blurred background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
