Jodi, this is a very nice picture of this blue scrub jay. How does the jay know there is seed in the crevasses in your rock wall? Does he see you and know it's time to chow down? or does he smell the seed? Do any other birds know? Any way you have a cool way of getting a shot. Vey nice. Ray

For some reason the birds - all types like to set on this rock wall in front of my house, maybe because it is sunny for most of the day so I put out the seed and they come!! Thanks so much for your comments, you are greatly appreciated!

The heavy bokeh of the background really pushes this gorgeous blue bird to the front of the frame.
Classic tight framing with a fine low angle showing off a pleasing pose.
All of the key points of focus are well defined and easily seen - nice camera management.

This is a bird that we don't have here, I think it's beautiful and you have photographed it so well ! Spot on focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, all colors and tones appear true and natural. Well defined detail in feathers, face and beak, I see it has a seed in beak too! I especially appreciate the clear eye complete with a nice catch light.
The bird is well placed within the frame and steps forward from the blurred background .
