I guess the little bird really wanted to be reviewed on fanart .
So, little bird , I think you are cute and Pat took one very tender capture of you . Beautiful details in the plumage you got!
This is an elegant and attractive photo of this little sparrow in a setting that has a nice graphic effect. I like the picture very much.

Nice shot here and I was close to a 6, but I think that the shadows on the bird are a little low and you have to search for the details a bit. A lot of the time I have my camera with the exposure compensation up to get the bird exposure spot on. Alternatively you can create a separate layer in PS, change the levels for the shadow area, and create a layer mask to level things off. I really like the way that you have space for the bird in the shot. So many times people cram in the bird with no space to breathe, but not in this case. Thanks for sharing.

A lovely capture Pat, with lovely natural colours, great detail in both the bird and the grasses.

Your notes remind me of once when I was lying on a riverbank to photograph some flowers against the river behind, when a passerby said 'Isn't it great to see a kingfisher on the river!'
It was on the other bank and I hadn't even noticed it!!! Lol
At least you're more observant than me!
A lovely photo, thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much Charolette! That is so funny , I photographed a belted kingfisher with a fish, I had no idea what kind of bird it was until I talked to a lady as we were both getting ready to leave, she also photographed it but she got it catching the fish, I just got it holding the fish! I was thrilled none the less.

What a cool guy, calmly sitting and enjoying the fine weather. Nice shot! You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Hi Pat!
That's a great looking picture,my friend!
It's nicely-presented and fun to look at and it has a nice kind of 'Romantic' look to it that I'm enjoying a lot!

Yes, it is nice photograph of the bird sitting in the perfect spot, bending the fragile grass below him.
Great details on the bird and on the grasses as they fade into the background.
Pat, a wonderful presentation.

Pat,
A beautiful picture of what I think maybe a Fox Sparrow ~ Passerella iliaca (I looked up Sparrow like birds in Alaska) The sunlight sparkling in it's eye while highlighting it's plumage & the seed head on the grass with the blue sky in the background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

This is indeed a pretty scene Pat, and I like the way the straw is bending by the weight of the sweet little bird. Still it must have been a light bird. The light is falling on it in such a lovely way, and it is also standing out well from the softened background.

Your focus is spot on and sharp showing clear and well defined details in the little bird, and the exposure is perfect. I also appreciate the nice and natural colors.

The photo is nicely cropped, and with the bird placed off to the left, it is a very fine balance in the composition. It is a truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

Perhaps a Song Sparrow, Pat. The markings along the side of the face and eye are similar as are the markings on its breast.

Isn't it grand when you get a bonus like this little guy stopping by to see what you are up to?

Excellent camera settings to catch this bird so well. The grasses in the foreground are sharp and finely seen.

Colors are earth toned and natural in appearance.

Looks like a good day in the sea grass ... Bob

Thank you so much Bob! I thought it was a type of sparrow, I see them all the time when we are driving on the beach but they always quickly fly off ! This one surprised me by staying !
