I hope we will be starting to see our Robins very soon. We are staying in Arizona for another month and by the time we get home, there will be robins and early spring blooms. The crop on this one is perfect. The clarity of the chick is sharp and well lit. Using the front edge of the pot and green background fill the screen with color. Great catch.

Gary,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this little adult Robin, it will be another six to eight weeks before they start building the nest...they are busy courting at the moment.

An excellent capture of this little one, Susan.
Excellent detail on the eye and facial feathers.
The color range and lighting of the take are well balanced and contribute nicely to the overall eye appeal of your composition.
The DOF is excellent for the subject matter and there is strong detail across the entire image.
Your camera settings are well established and have produced a high resolution image of good contrast, color and tonal range.
Well taken and enjoyable to view... Bob

Nice little shot of this robin susan and being taken at the same level works well, not 100% pin sharp as it should be and slightly distracts because of that but still like it...Brian

The European Robin is such a sweet little bird, I like the way it is posed on the rim of the flower pot facing you.
It is also well placed within the frame and standing out from the fresh green leaves.
Focus is a bit soft but we see its face and beak and a little glint in the eye!
Well composed, nicely presented with your added frame and text.
