Charlotte,
A beautiful picture of this treasure trove of an attic full of items that were very familiar to my Childhood including that Rocking Horse & Pony trap advertising Hovis. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
Good luck in the contest.
Susan

A good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and full composition suggests to me that you are in a museum rather than an attic? Textures, colours and detail are good. Well done and good luck!

Thanks. No, it's an attic, the stuff's not good enough for a museum!

Really good one for this contest and would have loved to have seen this, and taken photos, only thing is in this there is so much to take in,i might have been more tempted to focus on individual things but do understand the impact of everything, was this essex or up north...Brian

Thanks Brian, kinda half way. I came across it en-route to the Peak District It was an attic room in a reclamation yard, where they kept the more perishable stuff. You would have loved the outside too, there were loads of old red telephone boxes - I always wondered where they?d all gone!

It looks like in the old attic, a symphony of forgotten treasures awaits. Sunlight dances casting a nostalgic glow upon weathered furniture and forgotten relics. Each item, a fragment of history, . A very interesting capture. Good luck!

    Thank you so much Sesha!
Do you remember my comments on your shop contest entry? Well this is an example of my kind of heaven! Perhaps you?ll now understand my lack of enthusiasm for the other kinds of shopping! Lol

This is a nice photograph here It kind of had my eyes wondering all over the place I'm guessing it might be the darkness in the photo maybe it could have been lighter, sharpness is on point thanks for sharing and as always God bless

Attics are dark, that?s what makes them so interesting! I think your eye would have been flitting everywhere with so much stuff in the shot anyway, however bright it was.
    Thanks for your review.

I love places like this for photography while hubby is rummaging around looking at every single item and reading every label if there are any.
Great color and composition showing the old wares.
Focus and dof are good.

Another slam dunk, Charlotte!
I can't imagine a more brilliant photo for the something old contest. I keep zooming in to get a closer look at the treasures stored in this bright and clean attic. And I wonder what purpose some of them served.
The colors are glorious and speak of their old age. It is fortunate that this attic had a few windows and hints that it may have been used as a showroom of sorts.
Given its arrangement of things, you did a great job of anchoring this image with the 'for tea' contraption. The image is sharp.
I think you already have good luck and know a treasure when you see it, but I'll say it anyway. Good luck!

    Hi Bay,
How astute you are, I was looking around a reclamation yard and discovered this little attic above an old barn full of carts, beam, floor boards and old red telephone boxes - so yes, a showroom for the more perishable items!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and the six stars!

The Attic is an eclectic collection old carts, carriages and other curiosities. Pictures, signs and paintings hang, filling the nooks and crannies of this receiver of artifacts of the days gone bye. The stories they could tell. Ahh, the historical significants. Charlotte, how you find the scenes that need to be photographed is amazing and this is one fine example. Ray
