This is incredible! I can't believe it's art and not a photograph. Its so amazingly realistic, particularly the reflections of other objects captured in the metal bell. Wonderful attention to detail.

You have created a supremely beautiful and realistic Still Life artistic rendition of real bells. At first glance, I thought that I was viewing an actual photograph. I can also personally relate to your artwork here because way back when- during my High School years- I doubled as a clarinetist and a bell ringer in my high school orchestra/band.

My husband is an outstanding guitarist and mandolinist, my son, Mark, pianist and drummer from age 9. Have you continued your music? I sure enjoy your art here too.

You're very welcome, and I appreciate your enjoyment of my art. Thanks also for sharing creative news regarding your husband and son. As for me, after I finished high school, my sole focus was on attending college and studying to become an Early Childhood Education Teacher ( was a classroom teacher of grades Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 2 throughout my 32 years of teaching before I retired some years ago), and I lost interest in further continuing to play the clarinet and bells, but I still love listening to those instruments being played- especially during Christmas time via Christmas carols/music.

I like the colors and techniques. Control is very good and the detail is impressive. Only critique is the blue bell looks a little flat towards the bottom of the bell.

This is pretty awesome Glena! Shiny metal and glass are so hard to recreate with watercolor, any medium really, except a photography. You've done an outstanding job with the reflections on the metal and translucency of the glass. Great job!

Amazing! Beautifully done. It's so real that you have to look twice at the left hand side bell to see if it is really a drawing, and think " can I pick it up right now and ring it!" I love the simplicity of the composition and the way the shadows were executed. Amazing work.
