Great, great photo, and I really appreciate your little tidbit on lenses. This photo is very sharp and colorful. I like that there's zero background. Great job.

Hi Chaxl.. These days most of the time I'm using a tele-zoom it's a treat to test myself with a fixed focus lens.
Thank you for the fine review and rating. I'm glad you liked the post ... Bob

Ok Bob, I had to look up the Sarlacc because it was a vague memory after 40 years but I am gonna say there is only a dim resemblance since the Sarlacc is disgusting and looks more like a revolting tape worm and this flower is beautiful. Your resolution is amazing. I've never noticed the tiny yellow florets in the center of the whole flower before. I've always seen the brown and known where the seeds develop but I've never actually noticed that the brown center is just a huge cluster of smaller flower shapes. Really nice color, clarity, composition and lighting. Thanks for helping me learn a new thing while traumatizing me at the same time...lol!

Hi Lisa.. Once again -My bad. In my archives I have literally hundreds of sunflower takes, but I can't think of any that shows the complete evolution of their seeds.
With the Bee in the shot I bet a savvy Biology Teacher could make a days classes from the shot. I'm glad you liked the post, in spite of my poorly chosen movie reference... Bob

'Star Wars' has never been 'my cup of tea',Bob, but that doesn't mean I don't like this fine looking picture that you've presented us with today!
It looks great and there's a cool 'Scientific/Evolutionary' tone radiating from it that I'm enjoying a Whole Lot!
'Good Show',man!

Hi Sean.. That "Scientific/Evolutionary tone" is what caught my eye. I have a gazillion sunflower shots but not one that shows the stages of seed development. Better still is the Bee doing what Bees do - make life possible.
I'm glad you liked the post ... Bob
