Very cool sculpture and seems that you found a very interesting place to explore. I love finding new and interesting places to explore, especially with my friend. We love finding new things and taking pictures. This is a great sculpture, I hope they maintain it and cut back some of the foliage so it doesn't get too overgrown. Nice clarity and composition. Love that the one single branch with a fuschia flower is perfectly grown at the bottom of the trunk near the hand. Wonderful picture, thanks for sharing. If I ever get to that area, I will most definitely check it out.

Lisa,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this statue of Ganesha, I found in the park just outside the village of Roundwood In Co. Wicklow. Since I went there it has expanded with many more statues. The flower is a Rose not a Fuchsia.

I was inspired by this photo to learn more about Ganesha and it is a tale to behold about egos. Thank you for calling our attention to this beautiful Indian sculpture. It would be lovely to see the collection in this unusual park setting.
Your image is nicely composed and crystal clear. The colors are lovely; it looks as though Ganesha has found a lovely rose to enjoy.

What a very different and interesting statue you have captured in your photo. I love the lush green foliage. Is there a story related to this statue? Composition, and lighting are very well done!

I just have to admire the mind of the creator when it comes to this sculpture. It elevates the elephant headed god to the status it deserves as the remover of obstacles. Very nicely presented Susan. Ray

not obvious to find a sculpture of Ganesha in the United Kingdom,
