A glimpse into the untamed world, where every animal has a story to tell. Wild animals remind us of the importance of preserving their habitats. Very impressive shot

This bison looks like he's looking forward for those promised apple, and this is the reason why he remained still. Great focus showing his facial features and I like the clarity of the textures of his coat. Great portrait and you've captured this well. Good luck in the contest.

Hi soulfeeder.. That and he's still unsure if I am friend or foe, hence the stare. The herdsman gave this advice, "Stay low to the ground, make no sudden direct moves, no loud noise (camera on silent mode), and most importantly try to show no fear." - Ya right!
Thank you so very much for great review and rating. I am glad you liked the post ... Bob

Difficult lighting to work with when you have a subject with dark tones in shade. The eye really captured my attention so good job with the focusing. Filling the frame with his head is a good crop. Nicely done,

Cool,Bob!
This is a great looking porrait photo of the mammal that took over the ecological niche that was left open on the north American plains after the extinction of the great Ceratopsian dinosaurs many millions of years ago!
'Good Show',my friend!

I know what you mean, I have a photo of one of them that I was going to post but just like you said his winter coat was coming off and I didn't think that it would be a decent post. There was this farm up in West Jefferson NC that I use to go by and you could see them as you drove by, the little ones were so cute but I never went by there on my mountain trips and stop and get a close up or see if it was a farm. I like the pose that he has and I also like the way you have the frame filled up. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. JackJr.
