What a superb stop action shot Pat! Just stunning!
It's so crisp and clear, amazing focus and dof and perfectly positioned in the frame.
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and I wish you a very happy, photo filled new year.

A fine-looking shot. Great timing! In the captured moment, the bird takes flight, its wings spread wide, as it cradles a beakful of a big berry. Well done!

I like the form in that bird's flight. Such grace of form and style. The berry in its mouth adds to its elegance yet strength. The touch of orange and yellows in the tail feathers also adds to the scene. The way you blurred the sky is nice also. Thanks for sharing this lovely scene so skillfully captured.

Pat,
A brilliant stop action picture of the Bohemian Waxwing in flight with a berry of the Mountain Ash/Roan tree all movement of it's wings frozen by your fast exposure.the bird standing out clearly from the cloudy grey sky in the background. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

I love these guys. They are so beautiful and unqie in the bird world. What I love is the detail in the flight feathers. Normally most motion bird photos the wings are blurred. You got a wonderful capture here. Great work!

Awesome shot Pat! Love the beautiful spread of wings you captured of this Bohemian Waxwing. If that were not enough it has a berry in its mouth! I think this makes the image even more special! Love the lighting, timing, and focus! Wish I had a six to bless this with! Wishing you and yours a very Happy and Healthy New Year! :o) Nancy

What an incredible capture. This needs to be in a bird book or National Geographic! I love the angle because you can see so much definition in the wing. And the berry is the icing on the cake. Superb.
