HI Bob, Recognized the blossom right away! The bees can make al the blackberries they want and I'll be right there to eat them. LOl Nice job capturing this bee! Great focus on both! I like that you went for it and tried something new. You did a great job! :o) Nancy

I have never thought of this as a pollinating industry, but I suppose this is actually what it is. What would we do without them. I like the all black background because the white flower is standing out so well from it, but the bee is disappearing a bit, and I wonder if it would be an idea to add a bit more light (exposure).
I can see that the bee is in sharp focus showing clear and well defined details, but as already mentioned, I think the photo could be more exposed.
The format and framing is very good, and the flower with the bee has got a fine placement within the frame. All together a lovely and well taken photo Bob.

Hi Annie.. The black on black bothered me bit as well. However, I felt that the sensory hairs aligned in an arc over the bee's back was enough to delineate the bee. Thank you for the fine review and rating ... Bob

Great success on your work to attain a dark or black background without using any editing tool. Yes, I did this all the time, too. I love the prominent details of the stamens. The white petals made a strong contrast with the dark background, and is pretty eye-catching. The guest bee added more life in this photo. The square frame fits well. Exposure, angle and focus are well done. This blackberry photo is a joy to view.
