Here comes the pollinator. Great timing catching this bee towards the rose ready for landing and pollinate. I like the clarity of details of the bee as well as the vibrant colors. The red rose made a nice contrast with the greeneries at the background. The flying motion was captured well. Framing placement is also great. A delight to view.

What a great capture of the bee heading for the rose. Great focus and clarity, a lovely composition and what luck to be able to catch this lovely shot.

Hi Pat Looks like someone else is looking at that rose beside me. It may be a female red tailed bee. I just noticed another rose about to bloom. All wild , thats amazing. Thank you so much for sharing. Ray

Ya beat me to it, Pat! I have been trying to get that shot all season long. Congratulations on a heck of a super shot.

At a minimum 1/2500. The Bee's body, legs and antenna are well seen in the frame. Forward flight motion is null.

The focusing and f stop selected have all the main subjects in excellent focus against a nice even bokeh background.

I have reviewed six posts that deserved a six and sad to say I now have no six. This shot deserves it. Oh boy I love this one... Bob

Thank you very much Bob! I love to stand out on my deck when I’m home and watch the bees , it’s fun to capture them in flight! Last year I stood for over an hour just shooting bees, none of them even tried to sting me, then I stepped out the front door onto my driveway and out of nowhere a bee flew up as if he was on a mission and stung me in the neck!

Your welcome Pat. Something I taught my sons early about Bee's. When they come close to you, they are not angry and want to sting but, just want to smell you to find out if you are food. When they realize you are not on the menu they will usually buzz away. Stay calm, do not swat at them and they will go their own way... Bob
