Nice flower shot and the whiteness of the flower contrasts well with the black background in this one,do think though flowers should be kept for flower contests,but apart from that a nice shot...Brian

You should read the rules of "Outside Photo Contest" . It specifically says flowers . . . etc.

If you want to limit yourself even though the rule that does says so, you can. It's your call.

you are welcome nieves and fair point its just that more so with color contests there are a lot of flowers when there there are so many vast subjects out there and it is only an opinion

A very beautiful picture of this single yellow centred Dahlia face open to the sun. Glowing out from it's dark background. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

A beautiful photograph of a lovely lotus in full bloom. Focus and clarity are great, showing very good detail of petals and stamens. The black back ground shows the subject very well. Good luck in the contest.

What beautiful contrast you captured in this fine take. Your white balance is perfect for this shot and the water droplets is just the finest icing on the cake - bravo!

The Roman poet Horace wrote, "Carpe diem" or Pluck the Day. All anyone ever has is now, and now will never come again. I think you have learned that lesson Nieves just as I have.

Thei piece is simple and understated yet bold and bright and should do very well in the contest.
