A beautiful atmospheric picture of the setting sun glowing in the sky reflected on the icy surface of the road framed by the Pines on either side of the road & the distant snow capped mountains in the distance . Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

A great shot, I love how the road leads our eye to the low sun on the horizon and how it is reflected in the ice. The sun rays spreading across the sky and mountains really add to it too.
Well composed and focused with excellent dof giving a clear view as far as the eye can see.
Brrrr I most go look at some pics of hot sunny beaches now! :)

Yes I should think it could become quite depressing - I know in Scotland the suicide rate is much higher than in England due to the shorter days. But they live in the tropics in comparison to Alaska!!
