Pat,
An interesting picture of the trees reflecting on the melting snow with glimpses of blue sky seen between the trees. Interesting composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

    Thank you Susan!

Burrrr. That would be my initial reaction. You have captured the various thaw levels in this ice melt. I can see the slush as well as the solid ice. The reflections show the sky is blue and the sun is doing its job to dry things up. An interesting view that captures the cycles of weather. I like the crop as it provides a sampling of water, slush and ice. The reflection is clear and demonstrates how reflective properties are reliant on shiny surfaces - whereas the reflection is not as prominent where the ice is thick. I can also see (differentiate) debris and sticks in the water that are not part of the reflection.

Thank you so much Kathy, I looked out my kitchen window and my snow covered lawn looked more like a pond lol I thought I should photograph it. Yes the sticks you see are brought by Chance and Lenny, my two big puppies!
