Strong visual flower image is this and thats down to such a strong color in this plus the darkish background makes this stand out more,good detail in this as well....Brian

WOW Steve! This flower is so bright it looks like you plugged it in. Would love it if flowers had some mystical powers that made them glow at night. This pretty flower is jumping off the page with brightness! It has a very nice "wow factor!" Love seeing texture in the petals! A flower you definitely can not ignore! Good Luck in the Contest!

WOW! Steve, this is such an eye catching, dynamic image. Talk about emerging from darkness! The bright, vibrant colors on these petals emerging from the dark foliage is strikingly beautiful. The amount of 'sharp' detail and texture on each petal is clearly visible and adds a level of professionalism to the image. Stunning!
My only recommendation (and it's purely subjective in nature) would be crop the top a little more to center it's horizonal placement. On the other hand, I can respect the idea of giving it room to grow upward.
Just brainstorming and thinking out loud. I love this!

This flower does glow in the moonlight, it is such a bright orange and golden color , it looks like it could be a treasure flower. I see that one of the petals is standing up as if to hide its center,
Well focused, nice clear image with such beautiful lighting .
The black background works to emphasize this flower . I can see hints of violet in back that suggests that this is in a garden spot with other flowers growing nearby.
Well composed and presented! Nice entry for this contest! Best wishes to you !
