I think your work have become even better than it ever was before, and I can't stop looking at this creature being half dog and half human. I especially like the limited color pallet and the different shades of blue behind the dogs head. Must take forever doing all these dots.
Needless to say that this drawing is done paying a very good attention to details and with good use of high lights.
The tall format works so well and the "critter" has got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly creative, original and well done sharpie drawing Mark.

Av it appears that way since mostly what folks remember just my cartoons but 14 years ago when I first started I was showing work like this as example..sports art, rock art, and movie style posters(my creation not copies) and I had that work classed as a drawing..oh yeah I got critic a lot until I started doing cartoons and funny thing is those simple drawings got better praise. So I learned from that folks did like the strange critters cartoons,not as much as the flowers, but any drawing I do with my lil ole pens I must classify it as a cartoon..I would say check out my portfolio but you would be bored to death there is almost 1400 drawings there..wink. thanks for the awesome review

1400 images is probably a lot to go through, but you are probably right about what you are saying. You are of course more than welcome for the review.

Hey Mark! 'Hound Dog' is a fun illustration that certainly has a story to be told. The limited pallet of blues, whites and grays complement each other marvelously and allows the character (mainly white) to stand out in a very effective way. The sporadic particles floating in the air, works to add further interest to the scene. You have placed this dog character in what one's imagination could acknowledge as either snow or a cloud.

Hey Mark! 'Hound Dog' is a fun illustration that certainly has a story to be told.
