Hi Phyllis, I think you did a wonderful job painting this inquisitive giraffe! Love how he's leaning into the picture and looking right at the viewer. The detail is lovely in both the giraffe and the background. I definitely enjoyed! :o) Nancy

I think this is a fine entry into a contest like this, and I especially like the way the giraffe is entering into the picture from the left. I also like a lot the colorful background. I do however think that the trees just underneath the animals head could have been left out. It almost looks like the giraffe is growing a green beard.

The giraffe is however done paying a very good attention to details, and you have used high lights well. I also like that we can see the textures of the canvas you have used.

The tall format is working really well, and the giraffe has got a fine placement on the canvas. It is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is an all together lovely and well done painting Phyllis, and I wish you luck with the contest.

This is a fantastic piece of art! The choice if scenery for the background is great. This giraffe looks friendly and curious at the same time. Awesome work depicting a personality and great detail in his looks. Love it.
