HI RG, This guy was so lucky to have you find him. Of all birds to have a dislocated wings you found one that so depends on flight. With the amounts of beats those wings take a dislocation is not what you want to see. Glad you were there to save this one! Love the picture! Very touching picture of this little guy. Nice job of capturing a shot! A hummingbird in the hand is not something you come across much! Focus and lighting are very good but the subject is the real winner of this shot! Great entry for the bird contest! Wishing you luck! :o) Nancy

You can imagine what Mother Nature expected of me and my skills. One time had to save a boa constrictor wrapped around my neck and chest. The battle was on, it was in my face and strangling me. The staff saw what was going to happen and unwrapped me, then my real job was to save its life, which I did.

Hi RG, it sounds like you needed to be saved more than the boa! Lol Sounds like it still had a lot of strength too. Glas your staff was there to help and both you and the boa were saved.I can't even imagine the stories you have to tell. Definitely glad you were there to help the little hummer. :o)

A very good looking and tender nature image posted here, together with interesting notes too! I am quite surprised that you did so much remedial treatment on that tiny bird. Nicely done!

This is what I did for 30 years, be gentle, be quick, solve the problem and wait for the next one to come along. They all will in many different forms and needs. This one didn't need my surgical skills.
