Nicely done with this. the use of the soft pastels has worked well for you. The detail is good here and your technique has worked well. Nice job with the presentation.

You caught this cat waking up very nicely. This cat resembles a cat I once owned and it made me smile to see this work. I liked the detail of the ears and the paws as well as the excellent way you shaded the face.

Very nicely done and great description. Love the muted colors of the background and foreground. Great detail in Bodie. I love the way you captured his personality. Nicely done.

Thank you for sharing and the very best to you.

This a successful Pastels attempt, really attractive and grasping the attention, an excellent light and shadow technique, wonderful presentation, you are very well skilled in using pastels. Thanks.

Good focal point on his eyes. I like how they are looking directly at his audience and give him a lazy just woke up look. Good detail. My only suggestion would have been to contrast the background. I understand that the just woke up feeling is what the pastel swirling is all about. I would have liked to see a little more solid background under the cat. Beautiful cat with personality.

Thank you for your comments. I was undecided about the background.

I am a cat owner and I can identify with this cat you have drawn so nicely here! The eyes are cool, almost looking through you! My cat positions itself like this all the time and gives this same gaze. The background colors serve well to give this piece great contrast to the black. You did well with giving this piece an expressive offering, I quite enjoyed this piece. Thanks for sharing it Suzanne!

Very good textural impacts to show the passions on the face of the cat who's laying serious aside, The tonal movements progress nicely as well.

Thank you. He actually had one eye nearly closed as he was just waking up.
