I think it works well the way it is. The pretty rose by the light of the candle and showing off the awesome purple shades in the background. Great effect of light, shadows and reflections. Nicely centered, clear and the center of interest Super creation Bingo!

Love the composition and lighting with the candle. Visualizing the comment you made about the shadows, I'm certain you made the right choice. With the leaves in silhouette as they are and the background you've created, the shadows definitely would have destroyed the dynamic of the candle lighting on the rose and the silhouette of the leaves. Moon , I have enjoyed viewing your work , but this is not one of my favorites. I find the energy of the background abit overpowering. i feel that the backgound is fighting for the eye"s attention and wanting to be in the foreground in front of the rose. I love the candle. It has a great light feel about it. ARTSEY

Very odd contrast with the golden light of the candle and romantic reds juxtaposed against the sharp electric graphic art deco style background. Very eye catching. The leaves as silhouettes saved your clash from the flower and the background contrasting too much and was a smart design choice. It gives a place for your eyes to rest so the composition isn't so jarring. Well done.

its a great image, very psychedelic and the rose has a very interesting texture to it in comparison to the candle, you were right with regards to taking out the shadows, love this piece
