Excellent DoF and the center of presentation makes the initial impact powerful, you can see something in her eyes and smile, the graytones are just right for this picture. Would have been nice if her hand not been covering part of her face. Thanks for sharing

Thank you so much for your kind review. People see pictures differently, it would be boring otherwise. I have a picture without the hand but I like this one better. It has more of a story, the hand trying to hide the little tear. Doesn't it show?

The emotion you have portrayed in this photo goes without saying. What you do in charitable work is as special as this photo...my only suggestion is that you may wish to not crop so closely next time...it makes me focus on her hand which covers up her face and by including the rest of her head and maybe shoulder it would have made the proportions look more appropriate and I would have then been just stuck on her beautiful face! Thanks for sharing and keep ALL of your good work!

This is a very touching photograph, and perfect to accompany your lovely notes about the school for disabled children. Great shot, in both a journalistic sense and in every technical sense.
The lighting is ideal and so is the focus to preserve the detail beautifully. I like how we can see every line and every hair on/around her face very clearly. Contrast is great.. the lights and darks are well defined yet the lighting is soft, preserving the skin tones where they should be. I really enjoy how her face takes up nearly the whole frame. And, of course, the low f/stop was ideal, as the background is blurred out and all the attention is drawn to the face without any distractions.
Wonderful photo, thanks so much for sharing.
