Great painting and very dramatic. The clouds set a ominous mood and the lightning adds to the excitement and action of the scene. The design elements work well together and placement of the object create a great balance of negative and positive space. Colors add to the mood and drams for an overall feeling of impending danger. Great painting and thanks for sharing your great talent.

Beautiful! Very energetic story with all that's going on. The action of the horse is nicely balanced between the scary storm clouds and lightning. First impression has me wanting to run and hide. I like the color harmony, the colors support the picture in a nice clear way. Very nice! Sincerely..cedarmoon

I like this painting a lot. I think it suits the contest theme very well. I love the sky and lightning and the rocks. Beautifully done and create a dark stormy mood.
Personally I would have liked it even better to be just the landscape without the horse and a larger tree maybe with some bare brown branches .. but an excellent piece nonetheless. Good luck in the contest .

This is brilliant.
Very well composed piece of work.
The clouds look great as does the foreground.
The tree is well placed and the horse too to give nice balance.
Love the angry looking sky with the forked lightning.
Great atmosphere here and superb storytelling ability.
Well done indeed.
I just noticed the lightning actually looks a bit like the outline of Pakistan on a map with Afghanistan to the north-west and Iran to the west:p

WOW! What a story this could tell! Very realistic use of colors. The clouds, the lightning, the horse, the tree, the foreground, all are perfectly proportioned and positioned. Excellent work.

Absolutely lovely, the reared horse against the tumultuous sky makes an excellent story. I love you've framed the scene with the detail at the front and the heavy clouds above. Everything looks great but I think it would work even better if you could darken the tree some - it seems to have a certain degree of transparency and sort of fades in with the background. A more prominent depiction would really work wonders for the story as well as the visual appearance. Excellent storytelling and especially wonderful work in the clouds and subtle lighting bolts over the horizon. Great composition and use of colour and light as well, good luck with the contest!

What an interesting digital painting this is. The storm is coming over the mountain top and what must be an enormous horse is standing on its hind legs facing the storm clouds. The story telling ability in this picture is enormous.
