What a beautiful puppy. The impression is priceless. [I have to look up the other picture] I like Zorba as name, he is Greek it feeds perfect. [Dos he dance?]
The photo is as perfect as the dog. I like the DOF giving lots of detail of the face and enhancing the eyes and the reflections in them. Since everything is perfect here I won't go into technical detail.

Use of light is very good here.
Framing or comp is good.
DOF is a bit to narrow, would like to see at least the focus field unclude back to the ears.
But it worked for the background.
You did a good job on simplifying the subject.
