I like the idea behind what you were trying to create. A simple glass and flower can say a lot. I would have prefered the glass to have a bit of wine in it or something for a better story line. Also thought the bottom of the rose to be too dark and the lighting on the rose to be to bright. But overall neat idea. Keep it up.

good thing you didn't give up..this is a very nice photo..first reaction..very pretty. I love the design the reflection made on the wall..several designs really..the glass, the glass cuts and the prisms of colors..the rose was a very nice add also...helps to add a gentleness/grounded effected to the photo.

I'm glad you stuck with it as this is a very lovely photograph.

Your composition is quite strong. You placed the rose at the bottom with the glass and its large shadow on the left. This is nice balanced with other shadows and the rainbow on the right. Very pleasing visually!

Your focus is sharp, color is true and vivid, and exposure is fine.

I'm glad you persevered. This is a great shot. I would never have thought of capturing a rainbow like you did. Good thing the rose cooperated to. I also like the lighting that creates the shadow pattern of the crystal goblet. The rose and green colors are stronger, but you also see the same colors in the rainbow behind. If you look closely, you can even see the pattern of the damask cloth. Great detail. Very interesting composition.
