Initial Impact: Thoughts of Christmas/New Year holiday.
Lighting: is very nice. Holiday presentation. Color Harmony: good colors. Center of Interest: celebration glass. Focus: very good. Cropping: a bit to tight on the candle. Action: Nothing.
Depth of field: is not in effect here. Story telling: From title and artist's notes.
Comments: Good composition. Have a good and safe holidays.

This is a very good image, and presentation. Details from Highlight to shadows and blacks, give it a full tonal range.

A challenge for an artist can be to make their work look as good online as the original subject or better.

Reviewers review what we see, as my time is limited, have only time to review, subjects or images I like and then try to give helpful suggestions.

Sharpening is important.
Any changes in a digital, even re-sizing causes a loss of sharpening. So final sharpening after all changes are made, can make them look the way we want...

You could sharpen this a bit also, to give it a bit more punch.

Thank you very much. When it comes to sharpening, I have had bad experiences. Ie: The mallard I have on this site just now has got lower rating because people claim I have sharpened it too much.

Very strong composition.
Great variety of textures in this are pleasing to the eye.
Good storytelling --enoyed your notes. Purple is my favorite color so this image really makes me smile!

this is gorgeous, and means so much more with your sharing tradition! beautifully framed, with great focus and dof. I really like the gold diagonal stripe on the right with the burgundy on the right of that. very creative, and thank you for sharing your tradition.
