This is a great capture. To catch him in full run with the wings fully extended is wonderful. Beautiful color and focus. Nicely cropped and centered in the shot. Great presentation, thanks for sharing

Willie, this is really an outstanding shot. The bird is beautiful. The focus excellent. The colors outstanding. The lighting overall is good. The light hitting his face is so perfect. Do you shoot in raw? Do you use photoshop? I ask because a shot as beautiful as this one deserves to be leveled, which is easily done in photoshop raw. This could easily be accepted by a wild life magazine except it is so slanted.

Oh the bird man strikes again! What a lovely graceful sight. You did well to capture this. Nice colours in the wings and body and good focusing too. Foregound interest works with water transforming to ice. Shame maybe the ice didn't extend all the way back - cos then i'd have awarded more. Well done
