Great shot. The framing and composition is well done. The feathers are so well defined by a good sharp focus. Good light and colour.

If this isn't a perfect picture, I don't know what is! You've got every single detail, down to his big toe! Excellent timing, wonderful capture of the capture by the heron. And it's not too gross, either, so extra even, for that! Love the details in this guy's feathers, his eye, and that the background is blurred, but still interesting ~ lovely effect, overall. I love your nature shots, Willie, National Geographic should be calling you! Love this and thank you for sharing!

If this isn't a perfect picture, I don't know what is! You've got every single detail, down to his big toe! Excellent timing, wonderful capture of the capture by the heron. And it's not too gross, either, so extra even, for that! Love the details in this guy's feathers, his eye, and that the background is blurred, but still interesting ~ lovely effect, overall. This is one of those great shots of birds. Your composition is great, the colors are great and sharp and sharp focus. The shadow in the background accommodating of bring out the image of the bird. Great job!
