I presume you were on a tripod for this shot. It is so crisp and sharp considering how close you have cropped. Well dome. You can even see its pupil clearly. FAB

I like it a lot. You can almost count the feathers around his eye. The sunflower seed in the mouth is is a great capture. The technical merit is excellent and the technique is great as well.

I was going to ask you what's in its beak but I am so glad you answered it because I thought it was something else and it's not a sunflower seed shell. Awesome zooming, Willie! Great sharp focus, you can almost some image reflection in its eye! Very Cool!

This is superb, I love it. Composed and presented well with a lovely centre of interest and a great initial impact. The colour works well and the light is excellent. Focus is crisp and sharp, showing good detail and clarity and the dof is good. Very good level of technique and ability has been shown.

Very very nice detail in this image that is rarely seen as birds are always on the move it seems. The colors are great and the contrast amazing. The depth of field is spot on. The eye is shown in great detail and is my second favorite part. My favorite part would be the seed in the mouth as this is a very difficult shot to capture. I have never given this compliment on this site, so you are the first, this looks like an image from National Geographic. Thank you for sharing this amazing piece of work.

Really good clarity of this bird. I love how you have caught a perfect look in his eye. And that beak. And the feathers all are in perfect focus. What focal length was this taken at? This really is as near a perfect shot as you can get of a bird.:-)

Holy cow! up close and personal. Great detail - sharp and well exposed. I like the crop. Only comment I can add is that I would have burned the eye in a little to make it stand out more.
