Interesting notes. Thanks. You have created an image that at once appears entirely photographic in its realism, but on the other hand leaves nothing to chance in its composition, It is successful in its balance and harmony . Well done.

Very nice use of mixed media and traditional photography to show off this very educational capture.

Great use of technique and technology, lovely lighting, great composition, story elements prevail. Good luck with the contest!

Once Capture! I like the artist notes presented. I think they work to the advantage of the overall presentation. example The image presented lacks good lighting but when one gives attention to the artist note which gives insight into the world of the Mayans. The lighting is not a issue but helps one to understand the world of the Mayans a little more. Nicely done.

this is a really lovely piece .. i love the way that it was constructed .. the side view rather than a head on shot is so much nicer and lends an air of mystery .. thank you also for the informative narrative you provided for us .. great job .. jill

Very skillful piece of work. Major story in here the composition is so interesting with the ancients figure and the descendant in the same frame. All objects are in their own right well photographed. The light of the finished piece is wonderful. Thanks for sharing. Good luck.

This is a cool shot
I like all the history in the photo and the information you have given us
like the position of the man
only thing I would suggest would be to crop some of the top off
and play with the colors and make them pop a bit
:)

Thank you I appreciate your kind review. This is not a photo but a mixed media. The background is entirely made up digitally [color and lighting]. The kings head is a transparent layer above. The original is a small carving in green Jade. I am sorry and no offense but I disagree about the cropping. I would cropp the kings and the mais gods insignias when I cut the head dress off.
