This is nice, such a lovely glow to the flower must really make you look forward to the springtime. I really like the way you composed this and darkening the background has made it really pop out. Thanks for the notes too, I like to read the stories behind the photos.

It sure looks like a bright spring colors. Glad to hear that Spring finally got to you. Great light and background. The only thing that I am nor sure of is the green stem that is above the flower. Thanks for the great notes.

Very dramatic photo. I really enjoyed reading your explanation about this flower. Can you send some to me? My husband has a virus that is going around and one of it's symptoms include a horrific cough...:) Back to your photo which I'm sure your more interested in. This has exception composition and presentation. Very good depth of field, good lightening, good focus. I like that you set it against an almost entirely black background with just the hint of other foliage behind it. It is visually stimulating and one can almost smell the floral scent. Good use of light and shadow. Very nice photo. Thank you for sharing it.

Nice yellow flower. The color is vibrant. I like the darkened background and the bokeh as well. Focus is good, just a tad soft but still works. Thanks for sharing.
