I love seeing something new its wonderful. it not just another that we've seen hundreds of time ...lol
Amazing color and definition in the initial impact that made me look twice.the texture of the feathers and the log in which he stands with the touch of green and browns that the river or ponds or lakes make so beautiful.

This is a great shot. The colours & the stance of the heron against the muted background would make this an excellent plate in a bird ID book. Focus is great. Good luck in the contest.

An outstanding photo Willie. Yes I know it is you. The little heron is pin sharp showing a lot of really nice details in feathers. Background is lovely, but I think perhaps I would get rid of the spots. The colors are truly lovely, and your use of light works well on the bird, but the image is perhaps a bit over exposed on the right side. I feel that it doesn't matter too much in this case, because the bird is really standing out sharp against the background. Lovely composition with good balance and DOFF. Good luck with the contest.
