What a nice shot. You captured this handsome little guy in such a nice frame. Very crisp detailed colors. Contrast is sharp. Focus is spot on. Your notes are inteesting. This little guy really gets around. Beautiful, almiost 3-d effect. I feel like I can almost reach out and stroke his soft wings. Best of luck in the contest.

Nice picture (and I don't really like pictures of birds).
I love how you exposed this so that you can clearly make out the Grosbeak's eyes even through the head is also black.
I love the contrast of the Red breast against the white as well as the white on the black wings.
Very nice job!

This is great Willie! Such wonderfully clear detail, even his eye. So easy to lose the eye in a shot like this, but you got it perfect. He looks very pretty against the blurred green background. And I'm not the least bit bothered that I can't see all of his feet and all of his tail. Doesn't detract from the image at all in my opinion. I'd give you a 6 but have none left.
