very cool looking close up with excellent color and lighting. Nice timing on the shot as well. could have gone without the flash (that i believe I'm seeing in the bird's eye.

For Anyone doing a detailed carving of a Female Cardinal this would be a godsend for resource material....I'm also a woodcarver and this kind of photography is very difficult to find

AMAZING CLOSEUP WOW this truly incredible You can see every individual barbel on the feathers
For Anyone doing a detailed carving of a Female Cardinal this would be a godsend for resource material....I'm also a woodcarver and this kind of photography is very difficult to find

Another great close up shot of a bird. I am beginning to think you are feeding too much to your bird friends. This bird is having trouble eating it all. The focus is super sharp. And there are nice textures.

This is definitely texture. A very excellent shot as well. I hope you won the contest. She is kind of a messy eater, isn't she. Somehow I always imagined birds ate quickly and neatly. Beautifully executed and presented Willie.
