Don't hold it against me that I'm a Pisces. I might be a water sign, but I do love big cats and paintings of big cats such as this one!
Stunning!
Gorgeous!
What software did you use to create this?
Two thumbs up!

Sister,friend that I have
questioned in the past, you have truly met an area of digital art that I have never attained in my 5 years! If I ever doubted your "true" talent in the past, forgive me.
In your last two paintings,you
have shown, without a doubt,
that you have the ability to
be an OUTSTANDING digital artist.
This painting is one of the
most beautiful works you have
ever done.I cannot put into
words, the intense beauty of this work!In my opinion,if you
continue to excel as you have
proven that you can,you deserve to go to the head of
the class as the first place
digital artist at FAR!!
You can blow things up as much
as you want but don't ever
forget that you are very gifted!!
I am so very PROUD of you!!
Angelheart :)

This is a impressive wonderful painting.
I really like the subject matter. The colours are spot on! I love the white under his chin and above his mouth makes him look old! Those eyes are enough to make you want to run a mile! The background really makes the subject stand out.I am not a painter myself but I can appreciate the work that has gone into this. Thank you for sharing a very enjoyable picture.

Wow.. great job on this my friend. Not sure how you did it, but it looks fabulous. Do you paint it from scratch or modify an existing lion? Great job either way.

believe it or not I painted it from scratch I used a photgraph of a lions head that I used as a reference point for colors then went in sections painting one section at a time to try to get all the detail that I saw in the photograph, I had ro continue to pull back to make sure I had it in perspective, but no painting over, co compying it is al my work

there you go, you have put the face in focus the eyes are in sync with your theme, the leo traits seem to appear magically zest of life and warm spirit. you used color and technique very well here...have you taken time to compare this lion with the other? good choice of background it does not clash or try to steal the eye...I think your thinking cap is smoke'n now

wow! thank you so much lorraine, and I did compare the two and saw the differnce in the impact of where the eyes want to focus. You have been such a huge help and to tell me that my thinking cap is 'smokin' is the best compliment I could get especaily comin from someone with your talent
    thank yu so much

art is so very subjective, but we still compete for the viewer to some extent, I think in comparing the two images you can see the concept of impact, I looked at your comments and I think others are responding well to your new work. Great job...you did all the work!...lol...

What a stern looking expression this big guy has!. You have brought forth his majestic look very well.I like his piercing eyes and the easy way you have painted his mane.. A fine digital artwork.

I like this picture of the lion's head
It has strong initial impact
Like the clarity of his face and the more blurred brush strokes of his mane
like the white texturing behind him and the blue color which gives a nice contrast
The white you used on his chin is..kind of adds dimension

I'm not a painter so probably not fair that I review this image. However, the impact struck me and I decided to give it a go. I love the colours, they are excellent, and the lion looks to me to be well executed. The only comment I would make is that the lion's head doesn't match his mane in "sharpness". Beautiful though.

thank you for the kind review and rating. You don't have to be a painter to know what your eyes see and what you like and dislike. I couldn't take a good photgraph with the best camera out there but I can still enjoy beautiful photos. Your input into the lions mane is appreciated. I took alot of time on his face but not so much on the mane, I wanted it to appear like it was blowing to the right but the detail was more difficult so I have to agree with you.
thank you again for your review and taking the time to write one
