What a beautiful picture. I have never seen a purple Poinsettia before either, it is gorgeous. There is a nice blend of sharp and blurred. The green in the middle stands out nicely against the purple. Thank you for sharing.

HOw pretty. I can't say that I have ever seen a purple one before either. Very nicely done. Good lighting in this, too.

Lovin it, Lovin it, Lovin it! I like this lol beautiful colours chosen and I really like the way you have zoomed in so that we can appreciate all the different shapes and textures. You have turned this into quite a piece of art. Lovely experimental piece

Thank you very much for the nice review. I did not choose the colors though. This is how the original flower looked like.

What a surprise. I too have never seen one like that! Red, even white or pinkish, but never purple. I didn't know that Norway Christmas color is purple either. I really appreciate your educating comments. A need crisp capture of the plant with astounding dept for such a close up. The picture interesting framed and of course, the colors are excellent.

I think you have misunderstood. In Norway the Christmas color is red as well. Then my house will be filled with red pointsettia. It is at Advent, which startet last sunday and will last for four weeks, we decorate the house with purple. Christmas itself is really red. Thank you so much for the lovely review.

I understud now. It is interesting. In northern Germany [prlotestant area] from were I am, both Advent and Christmas is red, They have an Advent wheel from green evergreen branches adored with four red candles and red ribbon. The lighting of the candles is similar.
Thank you for your kind reply.

Sept 1st is technically far closer to the actual time of Christ's birth, though actual day is unknown. We still use Dec 25th but for family convenience. The date actually does not matter, His birth does! Loved the notes supplied, thanks. good piece and good composition.

strange looking colour for this plant, here in spain they have poinsettia in red,and they sell them in shops/markets etc, spainish people put them in there windows, this is usually there only concession to christmas,as they celebrate the 5th jan as there christmas, like the treatment to this and the use of the purple frame works as well
