Ooh this is different to what we usually see of yours. You have captured it and said it all in this. I ignore all of these sponsored adds, I really dont think much money gets to them, most is given to the government to spend on some new mercedes, I'm not saying we shouldn't help but I just dont know about the heavily advertised and commercialised ones, the smaller charities are a better bet. Anyways I will get off my high horse, great job Mark!

People who condemn those who show us images that make us uncomfortable, do it because they don't want to face them. Many of us, do our best to help in every way we can but the inherent problems of the world are overwhelming. I've always appreciated your efforts to deal with uncomfortable images with respect and dignity. Thanks for sharing my friend. Cyn

Your write up about this is great. Amazing what is sent and the way the people that get it have no idea how to use what is sent. I also wonder just how much really go to the people they are asking the donation for. The way you have done this is excellent. You certainly have make this a very undernourished kid. I like the look you have given him. An excellent and interesting drawing. See you used that red pen way back when too.

Wow.. great message and great artist notes... once while on a trip into NY City, I saw a homeless person pushing a cart of her belongings.. on the top of a cart sat a blender... an electric blender... and I started wondering if she entertains her friends and where she might plug the darn thing in. This reminds me of that. Well done.

i love your story line behind this piece of work. i've always wondered with how much of that money that is donated actually goes to the kids. i bet they sink most of it into the commericals they make!

I thought it was a cell phone lol, but this really caught my attention and made me feel quite upset at what this world has come to, I love this, his positioning the sadness on his face, very emotional piece of art

A stunning and breath taking picture and true, so true. You are are absolutely right about that. I never would trust those guys on TV. How much cost that commercial?
How many kids could truly being feed with that money?
I see it to often in reality. There are these all inclusive hotels [ US$500.- a night] 10 miles across the road there is that little village. Dirt road, no electricity, water brought in from 3 miles away. And may a couple those guys find that village. Make that movie. The kid gets a teddy bear. A can of food will be opened with the machete, but who wants to eat a teddy bear. We prefer to feed these people personally, so we know the get what they need. Food, medical attention, education and the bear. Of course that can't reduced from the taxes...

Face has photo-realistic quality and with subject matter, the impact to the viewers is very strong. It is almost too painful to see. You have very unique style. Thank you for sharing.
