I love this picture. The sun reflecting on the water makes it feel warm, I can almost hear the water lapping off the shore. The clouds swirling round the sun are mistical and give the picture depth. Excellent well done !!

Lovely photo. Great lighting, shadows and focus. I like that even though there is some dark sport because of the Sun there is great detail in the water and clouds. Nice job!! Good luck in the contest.

I like everything about this shot.
I love that the rising sun has only a small amount of burst, thru the clouds.
Nice reflection off the water, I also LOVE the clouds that seem to be rising from the water in the horizon.
Love the colors and lighting, great shot. I am sure you will win this contest, best of luck.

My heaven's the mystery here with that man and his sword and the castles in the smokey distance. If this is serendipity, and it sounds like it is then God of Photography was smiling down upon you.
That bright man in the heaven's with his sword bending down and looking down upon "Avalon". The mystery of light and shadow play well here and marry to produce a moody and mystical world we are looking upon.
I'm not sure if anyone is going to tell you about a blow out. That happens when there is no photographic information left at all and no matter how much burning you do no information will come through. This is one instance where a blow out works to your advantage and only reinforces the point to us that all rules in photography can (and oftentimes) be broken, for here it is magical.
Your play of very dark overcast shadows and the lighter aspects of the image straight through to the blinding mysterious man hunched over gives your upload tremendous visual impact.
It is the kind of photo that makes one wonder "how'd he do that?" when in effect it should be "wow he saw that!"
Technically I like what you have here, and can't fault you on technical merit. From the yellow golden hues to the blow outs it all works to make us dream.

Thank you very much! The god of photography indeed smiled at me. I thought my eyes had failed in the sudden sunburst and the camera wouldn't be able to capture that. I was surprised how some of the pictures turned out.
You really made my day! You did see the man with the sword. Only one other reviewer an I see it so far! I know about the blow out, that was why I thought the pictures ruined and maybe the camera lens as well, but for some reason even unknown to me I kept shooting. Than I kept the blow in the photo in purpose, because it is part of the mystical event. Thank you especially for understanding the photo and seeing what I see. :-)
