I'm glad you mentioned the background because I was going to ask why it was green. I can't decide whether or not I like it though sorry. I love the detail of the grass at the front, and the animals look great too, except..poor kitty looks sad :-( Overall, a very nice picture.

I wanted the kitten to have more of an inquisitive look, I was going to title this, " Did you say something" but decided no one would understand why I named it that LOL
I wasn't sure about the green background either but I did paint it all grass before,a and it really took away from the painting, so that's why I went with the green colors

No, you did not bad at all. This kitty is perfect. So is the dog. Do they have names jet? I am sure this is getting a story book, so they need names.
Looks as if kitty has some problem this time. Account to their impressions, Kitty seems to tell the puppy a sad story while he is listening.
The background is perfect. It is predicting some foliage without distraction but room for imagination. Grass would be to busy.

Cleo you made my day! I never thought about attempting to write another children's short story but you inspired me to do just that. I guess I'll have to let my grandkids name them LOL

i am happy I did! Ask the kids. Kids are usually the best of inspiration. The have lots of that unruly imagination we adults have lost some over time :-)

I know! Our neighbors moved away and now I stick with my stories, because my subjects of imagination are missing.
