Great shot Willy, perfect capture and a great composition. Fantastic camera work to get such sharp focus and spot on exposure. Great DOF and POV. You must have these birds well trained by now.

My friend, I like very much the portrait of the bird as it leaves its perch. The wingspan that is evident is impressive. The stump anchors the shot. I would crop the shot more on the left so that the rectangular shape would amplify the flight. Good luck in the contest. Cyn

A good photograph takes a few minutes to shoot; a great photograph sometimes requires an lot longer with a lot of patience. This is one of them, and the wait was worth it. Great storyline, contrast, color, angle, DOF and excellent detail.

Wonderful photo. You also did a good job with the details. I enjoy being able to fully understand what was happening when the photo occurred. Having the patients to wait for just the right shot really pays off sometimes, this is one of those. Great job :)
