Another excellent photo and wonderfully titled. How you were able to get so close up and focused in on its eye is awesome. Detail, clarity and excellent camera work makes this photo great.

Of course, one always like to see what we can't-this is so incredible-the eyes look so similar from animal to animal, but the socket and surrounding tissue and skin is so different. I just love this close up with the folds and creases so crisp and clear-wonderful shot! jean

I like elephants but when you see an eye of the beast up this close it has an eerie look about it! Great detail though showing the eyelashes and all the wrinkles around the eye itself. Focus is spot on and I like your framing.

Nice shot!
This is something not seen everyday! I like it too. I think because it is unusual with all the wrinkles is what makes it. Good job!

Eye Drops, a bath, a facial, I bet a peticure too... The eyes tells the story of an old season animal, most likely in a cage unable to grace the fields of his choice and unable to do as he/she please, thank you for sharing a sad Photo :(

An amazingly up close shot of this big beasts eye and just how sensitive they are. I have to say with all those wrinkles and the haphazard looking lashes it is almost comical!

Thanks you! I have never seen the eye of an elephant from that close and I´m really impressed with its eyelashes! So great job on deciding to take in the first place and then also it has great composition, exposure and focus!
