WOW! This really is a close-up of a Cardinal. LOve the sheen and detail of the feathers you caught. Love the intent look to and the framimg of the head. A beautifu head shot. Lighting is superb!

Extreme close up I might add. Very sharp. The colors are great. He looks like he is looking right into the camera. The background color and blur work great with his bright red feathers. The best of luck in the contest. Thanks for sharing.

The detail of his feathers and the gleam in his eye are very well defined.

Yes I love close ups. This guy is great. I love the vivid color red and the great black markings. His eye staring me down, he looks a little angry. Good background too. Nice shot, great photo.

Excellent photo, so sharp and the clarity of the feather detail and eye is fantastic. One of my favorite birds even though I only get to see them in photos and this photo is just wonderful. A professional look and quality to this one. Top shot and should be a winner in the contest.

Yes, I like this close up view very much. noting is out of focus...very sharp, and the colors are very true to what they really look like. I have never been this close to one to get a good shot...I like it.
