Fantastic detail, great color choice, the center of interest is cool, I am sure you put much effort into this presentation.

marlak25,
Every color seen in the drawing is a dot. I start with the lightest color dots first and then work into the darker colors. The depth of the colors is achieved by, laying one color against another color or over the color underneath it, in doing so I get a third and forth color both visually and in reality. I was inspired to perfect the technique by some of my favorite artists: like Georges Pierre Seurat, Paul Signac, Camille Pissarro and of course his son Lucien Pissarro.
This drawing is 43/4 x 5 1/4 and took me between 12 to 14 hours to complete. I am offering it as a signed and numbered limited edition print.
Thank you for your time in looking and writing the review (the great rating) your support of me and my artwork is very much appreciated.
Have great day...cheers !!!

Hi Lucien,
I can't even imagine HOW the mind works with this technique. You do a wonderful job of shading with the dots are creatiing the look of a solid creation with your dots. The time it takes to create an image of this sort has got to be ten times longer than just drawing it with solid lines. Every dot has to be precise! Patience is definitelty a part of being a Pointillist Artist. Everything in this image blends rogether well. I can only imagine there must be times when you have to back off a little from the painting to sse if it's really coming together the way you wanted. This definitley takes a LOT of thought.
Very Nicely Done and executed without a flaw!

helvi2,
maybe more then you wanted to know, but I hope you enjoy my response.
Every color seen in the drawing is a dot. I start with the lightest color dots first and then work into the darker colors, overlapping to create the colors I want the eye to help me create.
This drawing is approximately 5 x 4 3/4 and took me 12 hours to complete. I am offering it as a signed and numbered limited edition print.
Thank you for your time in looking and writing the review (the rating is humbling) your support of me and my artwork is very much appreciated.

I am amazed at this kind of art. To create a picture in dots and have it look right even with good details is something that my feeble brain can't fathom. This is why I follow you. Too wow me.and you never have let me down.

Another excellent example of pointillism. It inspires me to learn this form of art. The shades of colour point merging to create the image is remarkable. As they say patience pays especially if one is a s skillful as you are!

Very nice. I love the softness of the pointillism. It makes for a very nice effect. The color combinations are just right. Very nice composition. Thank you for sharing with us.

size determines the time it takes to finish a piece like this.

I find the colors on this one very striking. I've always liked the stipple effect such as yours here. Visually appealing. I can see this illustrated in a book. Very nice.

Another excellent pointillist painting. I do think you SHOULD give the NAME of the photographer whose picture you used, however, and if it is here on hte site, you could even post a link to it.

Phyllis Stewart,
he is no longer here, and none of his work is either or I would have.9My ego is not that big as to not give recognition.
I think the highest complements an artist can obtain on this site is the six star rating, the other is when the person reviewing their work saying the artist has achieved a style and technique that is unique and recognizable as their own.
Thank you for your time in looking and writing the review on my artwork, all of that support is very much appreciated by me.
Have great day... Cheers!!!
