Thank you for honoring the them with this piece, and this is a wonderful picture. It expresses feeling and loss and strength, along with the maze of emotion you describe in the story. The story however is the bonus piece. There, we find strength, love and honor. Forever changed and still always moving forward. This is a wonderful piece for the wounded warriors.

Wow, you got me in tears as I had the same message on my piece but could not post it into the contest for some photographic details - it takes courage to do so as this is the true face of war - I called my my piece WHY? And your amazing work telling this soldiers life is a big WHY in the universes - his soul cries but his love for life is strong no matter what - what have we done to deserve that - in the name of whooooom? GOD? God is love - Governments? They use us and forget us after getting an award, what for? Your story in this piece of art is just saying it all - your colors are amazing perfect grey zones - in the name of the bold eagle? It seems he lost one wing too - these experiences never go away so his grey zone around the head and mind always will be there - very well expressive combination - provoking truth, time to wake up for peace and this image I a soul call for a peaceful dialogs with to zivilized humans we all think we are, are we? - congratulation - this is a 100 star for me, a winner work

Thank you very much for your heartfelt review and the amazing rating. You are really observing to pick up on the eagles wing; is not easy. It shows better in another version were I had made the eagle from the photo of a burned flag. I have not seen your picture jet; but it is interesting that you called it Why? I posted a mixed media to the theme last year, with the same title: "Why"

Oh my goodness Cleo - quite apart from your excellent art work here, the notes are so deeply moving that they brought tears to me eyes. My stepson served in Afghanistan, and many other war zones. He was one of the lucky ones but so many were not and my heart goes out to them and their families. Your collage is exceptional - outstandingly good in all respects.

Thank you Chrissie. You never know what your understanding of this piece means to me. I was not sure how that would go over sins it is difficult to show the darker side of heroism. Thank you for your review and the high rating.

Very meaningful and deep. Congratulations on this effort. Colours are subtle and blend well with the background impressions of woman and man.
