It reminds me of lazy, hazy summer afternoon of long ago, in which the most pressing need was to find a spot in dappled shade where one could trail one's toes in running water and watch the ripples that made. Aren't we all advised to live in the moment? The trick is to find the right moment, and paintings such as this one point the way.

Lovely oil painting. I especially like the river & reflections & definition of the banks etc. Great tones of green, good use of light & great detail. Depth and positioning is good - like the tree framing one side of the painting. All the best in the contest

This is a beautiful painting. I love the various tones of the color green. Nice composition with a partial view of a tree next to the river which is very calm showing pretty reflections of green shrubbery and blue sky. Looks very peaceful and is a pleasure to view.
