The Bison again; and no I am not getting tired of them. Because they are Bison but never the same-o-same. If the are running, withstanding the snowstorm or fighting as here; they are always individuals. Each one a character. This cannot get tiresome, not even when you paint a hundred.

Lucien, generally speaking I always like your style of using the dots to create these really nice works of art. And normally they are perfection within themselves. You normally have fantastic detail and overall realism in an artistic way, but this is the first one I've seen you do that the detail is not as sure or as good as normal. It's not that the art work isn't good, it is but compared to the rest of your work is appears to be missing something. And this really surprises me that this would have happened in one of your art works. It's still a really nice painting though.

CMNash,
every now and again I'm sure I miss the mark in my supports eyes, I thought the details and flow of the composition and colors was all really well executed in this drawing.
Still I am only human. ;)
thank you for your continued support of my artwork and me.

I really think the difference the more I look at it is the tones of the bison, it's in the shading and shadowing of the animals. It's still a great painting, it's just not as good as you normally are. And yes we are only human.

Another wonderful picture. I read your notes and have to say I am not bored. I find this animals very interesting, probably because we do not have them in the UK. I love the action int his work with the animals have their heads and horns locked in battle. The colours in the coats are wonderful, especially where light is hitting them. Congratulations by the way!

Lucien..I just love these guys, and the subtle hints of tone and hue you have used gives the feel of those magnificent coats as they sway! This is especially nice, because the eyes are so well done..They have a bit of "life" in them that really jumps out at the viewer. Donkeyoatey

donkeyoaty,
yes, the limited color pallet used was intended to give them that sheen in their hides.

This is a very clever and, no doubt, time-consuming technique. You have great precision and understanding of colour-mixing. It is most effective.
