Suzanne, this is a very curious looking cat and it feels like she wants to know more about ME! !
I like the feeling your art has elicited out of me.
I cannot help but smile to notice the right ear is larger than the left and how sometimes that happens in nature. It is, along with the expression on the face, what gives this upload that 'cute' factor.
If I may comment constructively on this art I would like to mention that the reddish hues you have placed on the top of his/her head give a lack of uniformity to the fur and that the lost definition of the mouth I also find a bit distracting. BUT in photography we say if the eyes are dead sharp then little sins can be forgiven.
I like the background blue with steely gray works as two companion colours exuding solidness. I would not have minded a tad closer crop as I feel there is a bit too much negative space up top.
The details within the fur handled well done with depth being felt. But it is those eyes that simply win me over.

Oh she is cute and by the look of her very alert. You have done an amazing job with the soft pastels to get so much fine detail in her eye and fur. Love those eye and nose and the tinge of pink in the fur. Excellent piece of art work once again, very well done.

I am a sucker for animals with a frank expression in their eyes. Nice texture in the fur and really like how you incorporated the blues into the fur. Ah but, those eyes. Very nice! When I first looked at this painting it made me chuckle with pleasure.
